The ACT Academy of Sport offers an Individual Athlete Program with applications closing in May each year.
The Elite Indigenous Travel and Accommodation Assistance Program (EITAAP) is an initiative that is jointly managed by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and Australian Government Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C).
The Local Sporting Champions program is an Australian Government initiative designed to provide financial assistance for young people aged 12-18 towards the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing, coaching or officiating at an official national sporting organisation (NSO) endorsed state, national or international sporting championships or a School Sport Australia state or national championships.
Teams and individuals can nominate (1st March – 1st May each year) for the chance to receive up to $1,500 from Thermoskin’s Community Sports Fund. The general public are able to show their support by voting for their favourite nominations to receive funds to upgrade training facilities, equipment, club uniforms or other much needed assistance.

The National Junior High Performance Program aims to provide junior athletes with pathways to best assist their development into senior international athletes. Elite junior athletes and their personal coaches are given access to educational sessions, coaching assistance and medical screening and support.
Athletes and their personal coaches who compete at the IPC Athletics World Championships may be invited into the Para-athletics Junior Performance Squad to attend a training camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra in April each year.
The Targeted Talent Program (TTP) is Athletics Australia’s (AA) talent identification strand of their High Performance strategy. The program is fully funded by the AIS Australian Winning Edge program and is delivered on AA’s behalf by Athletics ACT. Athletes who finished in a top 8 place at the Australian Junior Championships will be invited to be in the program. Athletes will receive their invitation to be part of the program by the end of August. The first TTP Squad Day will be held in September.
