One of the biggest hurdles for a Junior Athlete transitioning to Athletics ACT based competitions is support. The Tigers have 40 years experience in understanding the needs of Little Athletes and dual registration from any LAACT registered centre in partnership with UC Ginninderra Athletics Club is seamless.
Dual registration gives those athletes in the Under 12 to Under 17s the familiarity of their home LAACT Centre with the support of the Tigers at AACT events. Athletes may wear their Little Athletics uniform while competing at senior competitions with us. UCGAC can easily assist dual members with getting their AACT registration numbers and understanding how Interclub works.
The Tigers provide mentoring from our senior athletes, coaches and committee to all Little Athletes. Ginninderra works with each LAACT Centre to ensure member services are complimentary and appropriate guidance is given to each dual registered athlete.
Membership as a dual registered athlete with the Tigers is free. There is no association fees or club fees imposed. Our Registrar only needs to know your name, email address, contact details and date of birth to complete the online application for you.
Details about upcoming coaching, skills sessions, club days and social events are posted daily to our Athletes Only Facebook Group and sent via email to parents.
For more information speak with our Committee or contact your Little Athletics Centre.
Are you ready and set for 2016? The new year starts with a bang on the 7th of January with the return of Summer Series (interclub). Ginninderra’s first Intraclub Meet is on the 9th of January at Charnwood Athletics Field.
A number of the UC Tigers will travel to Beaton Park Athletic Centre in Wollongong for the Illawarra Track Classic. Join team Tiger and take on the best in NSW this January. A fantastic one day trip to test your preparations for the ACT Athletics State Championships in February or chasing a qualifier for Junior Nationals (Perth – 8th to 13th) or the Australian Athletics Championships (Sydney – 31st to 3rd) in March.
Join a training session at UC over summer too and get your body into shape and make that New Year’s resolution a reality.

The UC Ginninderra Tigers are pleased to announce a recent decision by the Boards of Little Athletics ACT and Athletics ACT.
Any registered Little Athlete in the U12s who will turn twelve by the 30th of September the following year (i.e. 2016) is now eligible to participate as a Dual Registered Athlete with the Tigers at Athletics ACT events.
This decision means more athletes can choose from a variety of events and programs available across both Associations. The Tigers are the only all ages club in the ACT and one registration gives athletes the freedom of choice of where and when and how they participate.
Ginninderra is best placed to assist athletes move between grass track and red track competitions. With new season registrations now open, the Tigers are encouraging all athletes from the Under 12s and up to register with us (once they have joined their local Little Aths Centre).
Belconnen Little Athletics Centre will be holding a final registration day for the 14/15 athletics season at Cook oval, Biffin Street, Cook on Sunday 12 October 2014 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. If you are new to Little Athletics then just come along to our registration day and you can register and pick up your uniforms.
